Why I Should Insist for Country Sugar than Brown Sugar?

Why I Should Insist for Country Sugar than Brown Sugar?

Brown sugar has become increasingly popular in people’s diets over the past decade, and traditionally produced sugar, like country sugar, has been overlooked.

You might be wondering, what’s the difference between brown and country sugar? Brown sugar is essentially white sugar with added molasses which makes it refined and processed sugar.

Country sugar, on the other hand, is unrefined brown sugar — there’s way less processing in order to retain its molasses content. However, with refined brown sugar (the normal brown sugar found in most markets), it is more processed because it’s simply white sugar with added molasses. This makes country sugar more natural compared to refined brown sugar as well as white sugar.

Unrefined brown sugar, or country sugar, is your best bet and definitely has the most nutritional value as compared to any other type of sugar out there.

At Jeev Goodness, our sugar is unrefined! To be precise (:P), our ‘Unrefined Raw Country Sugar’ is made from organic sugarcane grown in a certified organic farm on the banks of Bhavani river. It is made in small batches without any addition of processed sugar or refining processes making sure the micronutrients found in sugarcane remain intact. Country sugar also contains minor quantities of minerals like Calcium, Potassium, Phosphorus & Iron (which mostly seeps in from the iron pans used during production).

Apart from its nutritional value, it also helps in digestion, flushes out toxins from the body, acts as an energy booster, and also can help combating menstrual cramps and mood swings!

Unlike common belief, sugar is not bad for you. It’s about how it’s produced, where it’s sourced from, and how much and often you’re consuming it.

At the end of the day, sugar is sugar and it can be detrimental to one’s health. All we’re saying is that country sugar is comparatively more nutritional than refined white or brown sugar.
