Jeev Goodness Organic Turmeric Powder is made from “Salem local” and is curcumin unextracted. Curcumin gives an orangish-yellow hue to the turmeric powder.

We source superior quality organic “Salem local” turmeric fingers directly from a certified organic farm. Our turmeric powder is manufactured with only turmeric fingers and does not include the turmeric bulbs that lower the quality and curcumin content.

The usual method of grinding turmeric powder is using plate mills, the process of rubbing two grooved iron plates against each other. The turmeric is fed between the plates to make powder. While this process gives a fine powder, there is a high chance of the harmful iron waste from the plates getting into the turmeric powder due to contact between iron plates. The plates also generate heat which may change the original properties of turmeric. In order to avoid this, we use the pulverizer method using food grade stainless steel. This ensures that the powder is safe for human consumption. The pulverizer ground turmeric is not finely ground but coarse in nature.
